Miss Fairy is the owner and operator of iconic Adelaide, Glenelg business The Fairy Bay! Miss Fairy has run her very own Fairy School, Superhero and Princess Academy whilst working concurrently in Special Education within DECD for over 11 years. A teacher fairy, with a Bachelor in Education and a Masters in Special Education has been teaching for 7 years, and was an SSO in Special Ed for the 4 years prior. Miss Fairy has taught at many Adelaide Disability Units as well as at Special Educational Needs schools in London. Her strengths in the classroom involve an expertise in autism, particularly those with high behavioural support needs, as well as making the classroom as magical and imaginative as it is in fairyland.
Miss Fairy runs her very own Fairy School and was the first teacher fairy to teach human children at schools in Adelaide, hence the name! Her very own fairy school has run since 2013 and is now an iconic school holiday programme for girls and boys.
Miss Fairy is a keen innovator and entrepreneur and is currently completing an MBA with Charles Sturt University. She has worked with many local charities and support systems and is passionate about making learning accessible to all children as well as ensuring that they have magical memories forever. She has sat on boards within the Department of Education, and acted as Disability Unit Coordinator on several occasions. She is a current member of Business SA and the South Australian Young Entrepreneurs Programme.
Miss Fairy has entertained at all the major Medieval Fairs across Australia, the Adelaide Fringe Festival, the Royal Adelaide Show, Council Street Parties, Community Events, Adelaide Carols by Candlelight and has been part of the Credit Union Christmas Pageant for 17 years. She has the title of the winner of Best Pageant Float in the Glenelg Pageant for 3 consecutive years as well as best retail shop on Jetty Road.
Her special fairy talent is never forgetting a little fairies face or name, which is quite the feat considering she has hosted over 1000 birthday parties in her time.
